Our Terms & Conditions outline lesson policies, payments, and cancellations, so parents and students know exactly what to expect when working with Miss Purple Tutoring.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Miss Purple Tutoring services. By booking lessons, assessments, or accessing our website, you agree to abide by these Terms.

2. Services Provided

Miss Purple Tutoring offers:

  • Online tutoring in Maths and English for Grades 1–9

  • One-to-one and group tutoring sessions

  • Assessment sessions to evaluate student learning needs

  • Study resources and lesson plans tailored to each child

3. Lesson Duration

  • Each tutoring session lasts 1 hour.

  • Packages include multiple prepaid hours (see Pricing page).

  • All sessions are conducted via Zoom unless otherwise arranged.

4. Payments

  • All lessons must be paid in advance.

  • Accepted payment methods: Cash and Interac e-Transfer to misspurpletutoring@gmail.com.

  • Prepaid packages include 1 bonus hour as a reward for advance payment.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Parents must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited.

  • If Miss Purple Tutoring must cancel a lesson, the session will be rescheduled at no cost.

6. Attendance & Conduct

  • Students are expected to arrive on time for online sessions.

  • Parents/guardians should ensure a quiet environment and working internet connection.

  • Any disruptive behavior may result in termination of the session.

7. Assessments

  • All new clients must begin with a compulsory assessment in Maths and Creative Writing, Reading, and Grammar.

  • The assessment costs $50 per hour per child.

  • This ensures we understand each student’s strengths, gaps, and learning style before lessons begin.

  • Assessment results are shared with parents to guide lesson planning.

8. Refund Policy

  • Prepaid lessons are non-refundable once sessions have begun.

  • Refunds may be issued for unused lessons only in exceptional cases at the discretion of Miss Purple Tutoring.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Personal and student information is protected according to our Privacy Policy.

  • Lesson notes and assessments are shared only with parents/guardians.

10. Limitation of Liability

While we are committed to your child’s progress, Miss Purple Tutoring does not guarantee specific academic outcomes. Our role is to support learning, not replace school curricula.

11. Amendments

Miss Purple Tutoring reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Parents will be notified of major changes.
